A months-long investigation into a suspected drug trafficking operation across Ventura and Los Angeles counties has led to the arrest of 11 people and the seizure of large quantities of narcotics, firearms and suspected drug money, authorities announced Monday.
In a news release, investigators with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said the case centered on two Ventura residents accused of operating a distribution network responsible for funneling methamphetamine, fentanyl and heroin into local communities.
Detectives launched the investigation earlier this year targeting Alicia Estrada, 48, and Danny Zuniga, 38, both Ventura residents, who were allegedly receiving bulk shipments of narcotics from suppliers in L.A. County before redistributing the drugs throughout Ventura County…
