On January 15, 2026, at approximately 8:25 PM, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to Marshall’s at 1835 Ventura Boulevard regarding a disturbance involving Carlos Canon. The investigation revealed that Canon became involved in a confrontation outside the business, where he assaulted one victim with a belt and attempted to strike another with his vehicle.
During the investigation, officers obtained witness statements, surveillance footage, and a cellular phone video recorded by an independent witness.
The video captured Canon forcibly grabbing a 17-year-old female victim, throwing her into the rear cargo compartment of his SUV against her will, closing the cargo door, and driving away. The victim later reported that she attempted to escape from the cargo compartment but was unable to do so…
