Pre-Dawn Horror On 110: Pedestrian Killed At Downtown L.A. Off-Ramp

A pre-dawn crash on a downtown Los Angeles freeway exit left a pedestrian dead early Saturday, after they were struck by a vehicle on a Harbor (110) Freeway off-ramp.

The collision was reported around 4:30 a.m. at the West Eighth Street exit to the southbound 110. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A SigAlert was issued at 5:08 a.m., shutting down the West Eighth Street off-ramp for at least two hours while officers investigated, according to MyNewsLA. The outlet reported that CHP had not released any immediate details about the victim or what led up to the crash.
