Long Beach police are investigating two separate firearm-related incidents that occurred within about an hour of each other on Friday evening.
At approximately 8:13 p.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of Baltic Avenue after reports of gunfire. They located an adult male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel treated the victim at the scene, but he declined transportation to a hospital.
According to the preliminary investigation, two male suspects fired multiple shots toward the victim before fleeing the area. No arrests have been announced, and investigators are still working to determine the motive and identify the suspects.
