A man armed with a knife was shot and killed at a restaurant inside a busy shopping center in Cerritos on Sunday afternoon, authorities say.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department source told Eyewitness News that a person with a concealed carry permit shot and killed someone armed with a knife at Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que. The source said an off-duty officer was present and witnessed the shooting, but did not fire their weapon.
