One person is in custody after a woman was found dead in an apartment on the 1900 block of Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica Saturday.
Santa Monica Police Department officers were called to the apartment near Santa Monica College at 5:21 p.m. for a report of a woman in need of medical assistance. Officers responded and found a woman with significant injuries, police said.
“Santa Monica Fire Department personnel responded and attempted life-saving measures,” Santa Monica PD said.
