A man was found deceased on Venice Beach late Monday night, prompting a shooting death investigation.
According to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson, a call regarding a “person down in the sand” came in to dispatch at 11:13 p.m.
The caller reported the sighting in the 1800 block of Ocean Front Walk, and preliminary information indicates the man was found just south of Lifeguard Tower 19. Located nearby are the Venice Beach Basketball Courts and Muscle Beach.
