Southern California’s already sweltering temperatures are expected to climb even higher this week, with some areas potentially reaching 112 degrees as a prolonged heat wave tightens its grip on the region.
A heat advisory took effect at 10 a.m. Sunday across a wide swath of Los Angeles and Ventura counties, where temperatures may hit 107 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
