More than 22,000 Long Beach residents were temporarily without power Sunday night due to a Southern California Edison outage, all in the midst of a sweltering wave of heat.
SoCal Edison officials told CBS LA that the outage began at 6:40 p.m. and left 22,066 customers without power at its peak. They said that additional crews and resources were mobilized to help troubleshoot the issue and restore service.
