A Southern California community is coming together to locate and treat a coyote with a facial deformity that has gone viral after multiple sightings.

On Monday, Aug. 24, Wildlife Care of Southern California shared a post on its Facebook page announcing that it is working to catch the coyote that has been wandering the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles.

The wild animal, nicknamed Wendy by Studio City residents and Sunshine by the East Valley Shelter, appears to have a large facial growth or abscess and has reportedly had the issue for more than a year…
