The City of Los Angeles recently helped 33 individuals and five pets living on the streets transition into stable housing through an Inside Safe operation in Westlake.
The Inside Safe team, in coordination with Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez, connected residents of the encampment near Ocean View Avenue and South Lake Street to shelter with supportive services. The team also cleared tents, makeshift shelter and illegal dumping debris at the site.
“This Inside Safe operation brought dozens of our unhoused neighbors in Westlake indoors and connected them with shelter, supportive services and a path toward permanent housing,” Hernandez said. “We are grateful to the outreach workers and City teams who approached this operation with care and patience. Our work continues until every neighbor has a safe and stable place to call home.”…
