A man who gunned down a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy at a stoplight in Palmdale three years ago was legally sane at the time of the crime, a jury ruled on Wednesday.
The jury’s decision — reached after about 1 1/2 days of deliberations — means Kevin Eduardo Cataneo Salazar, 32, faces a life prison term without the possibility of parole for the killing of Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer.
