An investigation is underway after a body was found floating in Ballona Creek near Playa Vista on Los Angeles’ Westside Monday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the bike path area next to Lincoln Boulevard around 8:45 a.m. after a caller reported the discovery, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.
Sky5 was over the scene at 9:15 a.m., where multiple Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department vehicles were on hand.
“It would appear that they have recovered a body,” KTLA’s Rich Prickett said. “We’re seeing what appears to be a body covered up by a blanket there on the bike path.”…
