Junior middleweight boxer Fernando Vargas Jr. was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after being involved in a three-vehicle crash, the California Highway Patrol said Friday.
The crash was reported just before 8 p.m. Thursday inside a parking structure at Universal Studios in Hollywood, according to a CHP news release. Upon arrival, police observed “signs of alcohol impairment” from Vargas and conducted a DUI investigation. No injuries were reported at the scene.
