South Los Angeles crash leaves man dead, police say

A crash that occurred Saturday evening left a man dead in South Los Angeles, authorities say.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred at 8:40 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and 40^th Place.

“Vehicle 1 was traveling down Vermont when he collided with the second party, who was crossing the street,” an LAPD spokesperson told KTLA.

The victim, who was not named, was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders…
