LOS ANGELES – California is preparing to bring in law enforcement from other states to secure LA28 – an unusually visible sign of how much work sits behind the current Olympic schedule.
Gov. Gavin Newsom signed three LA28-related bills Sunday outside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, adding $7 million in state support for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
AB 2411 directs the California Office of Emergency Services to negotiate agreements with state, local, and out-of-state law enforcement agencies for temporary deployments during the Games.
