A Southern California police dog had part of his ear bitten off by an armed suspect during a recent barricade situation in Los Angeles County, according to authorities.
“K-9 Wouter recently assisted our SWAT team in Wilmington as officers worked to take a dangerous, wanted felon into custody,” the Redondo Beach Police Department posted on Facebook on Wednesday.
The suspect was armed and refused to surrender after barricading himself inside a home in a Wilmington neighborhood.
