Los Angeles police established a perimeter in Chinatown Saturday morning while searching for an armed man who remained at large.
Officers responded to the area of Alpine and Hill streets around 6:45 a.m. after officers at the scene requested backup for a man armed with a gun, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A perimeter was established as officers searched the surrounding area for the suspect.
