Former BHFD deputy fire chief arrested for stalking, vandalism

Beverly Hills Police Department detectives arrested a former deputy fire chief of the Beverly Hills Fire Department on Sept. 21 on suspicion of stalking and vandalism.

The suspect, identified as Alfred Poirier, of Santa Clarita, is accused of posting flyers with computer-generated images at city facilities on multiple different occasions. BHPD Capt. Kevin Orth described the flyers as being placed on city buildings but did not have details about information, photographs or content on them. Detectives are continuing to investigate. The BHPD will release additional information as the investigation progresses.

Poirier served with the BHFD from 2022 until his retirement in April 2026. Prior to the BHFD, Poirier served for 36 years with the Los Angeles Fire Department. The crimes in Beverly Hills allegedly occurred after he retired. However, specific dates were not available…
