Authorities resumed searching a remote Lancaster property Wednesday morning, one day after the remains of two people were discovered during a missing-person investigation.
Wednesday marked the second day of the homicide investigation, with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau setting up a mobile command post along a dirt road leading to the property. Medical examiner personnel were also at the scene and participating in the search, KTLA’s Kimberly Cheng reported.
Sky5 was over the sprawling property near East Avenue F and 50th Street East, where investigators could be seen working beneath several canopies as they continued excavating the site.
