Disney Pays $115 Million for Yamaha Property Near Disneyland

Disney has made a sizable real estate purchase in Southern California, acquiring the longtime Yamaha Motor Corp. USA headquarters in Cypress for approximately $115 million.

According to the Orange County Register, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S. Inc. purchased the 25-acre property at 6555 Katella Avenue in a deal that closed September 23. Disney confirmed the acquisition and says the property will eventually be used to support Disneyland Resort‘s back-of-house operations.

The campus is located roughly seven miles from Disneyland Resort’s Simba parking lot and includes nearly 279,000 square feet of office, warehouse, and industrial space. The property occupies an entire city block bordered by Katella Avenue, Holder Street, and Yamaha Way…
