More than four years after a horrific crash in Windsor Hills killed six people, including a pregnant woman, her baby and her unborn child; Nicole Linton has now been found guilty of murder on every count she faced.
A Los Angeles jury convicted the former traveling nurse Friday, Oct. 2, of six counts of second-degree murder in the devastating Aug. 4, 2022 crash at La Brea and Slauson avenues. The verdict came rather quickly: jurors deliberated for only about three hours.
The crash itself was captured on surveillance video and became one of the most shocking traffic cases in Los Angeles in recent years. Prosecutors say Linton left her nursing shift early that afternoon and, about 18 minutes later, barreled toward the intersection in her Mercedes-Benz at roughly 130 mph.
The traffic light had already been red for about 15 seconds. According to prosecutors, instead of braking or swerving, Linton revved the engine and floored the accelerator for at least five seconds before blasting into the intersection and hitting multiple vehicles. Three vehicles caught fire…
