Young mom, 18-year-old shot dead inside Northridge strip-mall venue identified

Two young people shot and killed after a gunman opened fire inside a strip-mall venue near the campus of California State University, Northridge, over the weekend have been identified.

In a press release issued Sunday, the Los Angeles Police Department said officers were dispatched to the University Plaza shopping center at 11:05 p.m. Oct. 2 on reports of a loud party.

When officers arrived at the scene, in the 18400 block of Nordhoff Street near Reseda Boulevard, they found “approximately 100 to 200 people” there, LAPD said…
