Driver Flees LASD Stop During Street Takeover Operation; Vehicle Later Seized

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies ended a vehicle pursuit rather than continue a chase they considered unsafe. The driver still did not disappear from the case.

The pursuit began during a Sept. 12 street-takeover enforcement operation after deputies saw a vehicle being driven erratically and believed the driver could be impaired, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
