A resident of the United Kingdom was killed while crossing Hollywood Boulevard on Oct. 4 in a collision involving a suspected impaired driver, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk at Cherokee Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. when a white Mazda traveling west on Hollywood Boulevard struck them, an LAPD spokesperson said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, described only as a Hispanic female, remained at the scene and was taken into custody on vehicular manslaughter charges. Police believe alcohol was a factor in the collision, the spokesperson said…
