SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) – The Gauchos got defensive in a 13-8 upset win over #9 Long Beach State in Big West men’s water polo.
Former Santa Barbara High School standout goalie Wyatt Pieretti made 8 saves and even scored a late goal to put the cherry on top of a great afternoon for #12 UCSB.

We had some good shots too, so fun day, fun day, alumni weekend, always good to win with the alumni here.”
It was also the Nick Johnson Memorial Match and the late Johnson would have been proud as UCSB delivered his signature 110 percent effort on defense to shut down a very talented Long Beach State team…
