LA is nothing like the movies. Duh
One man’s review of Downtown Los Angeles , California has gone viral on TikTok after he revealed some of the experiences he’s had there, saying that it is nothing like the movies.
“I have never in my life seen, one, more unhoused people , people experiencing homelessness, and two, crime scenes,” Jay said in the viral video , which has since amassed more than 682,000 views.
Jay shared that he has seen plenty of helicopters, stakeouts and police using megaphones to tell people to come out of their homes.
“Bro, I thought that was something you only did in movies. Nah bro, they do that s— in LA and I’ve heard it too many times to count,” Jay laughed in the video.
The TikToker also said that he has walked outside of his home to find police putting up yellow tape to investigate active crime scenes, and said that he has even had to cancel appointments because police would not let him leave his home.
Jay said that there were some positives to living in Downtown L.A. but he advised people who are just coming to visit the city to stay somewhere near Downtown, but not actually in Downtown.
