One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision between a big rig and a black sedan near the Carson Weigh Station in Carson, authorities said Saturday. California Highway Patrol officers were called at around 11:24 p.m. Friday to the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway near the weigh station between Avalon Boulevard and Main Street where they found the victim, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
