Tropical Storm Force Winds to Accompany Flood Zone Sunday into Sunday night in Southern California

The Southern California Weather Force Flood Emergency went out yesterday with the anticipated storm system to hit Sunday through Tuesday across the forecast area. Now, Southern California Weather Force has issued with it the High Wind Warning alert for wind gusts of 50 to 80 mph. At the current time, the system is a category 5 out of 6 from the Southern California Weather Force Pacific Storm Category Scale, meaning damage and loss of life potential is expected. This alert is for the following zones:

San Luis Obispo, Kern, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, and Orange County.
High Desert Metro (Victor Valley and Surrounding)
Channel, Catalina and San Nicolas Islands.

Discussion: What is called a ‘bomb cyclone’ will form off the Central California Coast on Saturday night. This will begin to bring strong southerly flow into it. This southerly flow will affect the San Luis Obispo / Santa Barbara zones first, increasing through Sunday morning. Through the day it will then start affecting areas like Ventura and Kern County, finally into the night the rest of the warning area across Los Angeles and Orange County will also be affected.
