Two guys were taken into custody by Los Angeles police officers for allegedly selling drugs from a recreational vehicle that was parked close to a San Pedro homeless camp.
A search warrant that was executed in Hollywood on January 31st, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, led them to an RV parked in the 900 block of South Beacon Avenue, a neighborhood “well-known” for drug-related offenses.
Police said that the two guys used the RV exclusively for “engaging in narcotics sales and consumption,” not because it was inhabited by homeless people.
Following the issuance of a search order for the car, 439 gross grams of powder cocaine, 29 gross grams of cocaine base, an unlicensed pistol, and $147,987 in cash were found inside.
As per the US Department of Justice, a cocaine base is essentially a hydrochloride of cocaine that has been “reverse-engineered back to a chemical base state, thereby rendering it smokeable.”
Due to their suspected involvement with the RV and the illegal drug activity, police detained two individuals from Los Angeles.
