Los Angeles County is home to several world-famous cities that provide a lifestyle that only a few can afford. The majority of the individuals who live in these cities are Hollywood celebrities, millionaire entrepreneurs, media moguls, and others of comparable status. To put it mildly, they generate a lot of money, which benefits the whole county and the state of California.
The state of California, however, also features cities on the opposite extreme of the financial spectrum. This article will focus on three such cities that are not economically stable and aren’t regarded as safe.
Hawthorne, CA
Hawthorne is a city in southern Los Angeles County, California, and is part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. It is part of the South Bay metropolitan region, which consists of seventeen cities. Tesla and SpaceX both have headquarters and design facilities in the neighborhood.
With an estimated 2020 population of 88,083, it is the 100th largest city in California and the 409th largest in the United States, according to the United States Government Census Bureau. Hawthorne’s population is presently declining at a rate of -0.71 percent each year, but it has increased by 0.68 percent since the previous census, which showed a population of 84,293 in 2010.
