Police seek person of interest after man is beaten, killed on California transit bus in brutal fight

The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide detectives are actively investigating the death of a 63-year-old male who was engaged in a physical altercation on an LA Metro Bus. The incident occurred on February 22, 2023, around 10:49 p.m., near the area of Western Avenue and Olympic Boulevard.

Officers responded to a radio call and, upon arrival, discovered the body of the individual who appeared to have been involved in a fight before his passing, police said.

The exact manner and cause of death are yet to be determined, pending the completion of an autopsy and a thorough investigation.

The West Bureau Homicide detectives are overseeing the case and are urgently seeking to speak with the other individual involved in the altercation.

This individual, described as a male Black in his 30s, was wearing black attire and rainbow-colored shoes. Unfortunately, the individual did not remain at the scene to meet with law enforcement.
