Parts of California could be in for another spate of rain in the next few weeks. Cities like San Francisco , Los Angeles and San Diego have seen unusually wet weather this year and it looks like more could be on the way.
The National Weather Service’s Weather Prediction Center told the San Francisco-based outlet SFGate that long-term models show that the state could get another storm as soon as next week.
The forecasters predict the possibility of about an inch of rain across the region, which is four times the amount usually seen in Los Angeles for the entire month of May.
There’s a chance of isolated thunderstorms in Sacramento and forecasters have warned drivers to watch out for slick roads.
However, advanced weather model s can vary greatly, especially when they’re looked at nearly two weeks out.
“Normally, I wouldn’t post Upper Air projections out 10 days. You’re asking for trouble,” meteorologist Steve Paulson of KTVU said on X.
