Shooting in Lynwood claims man’s life, suspect outstanding

An early morning shooting left a man dead in Lynwood, and authorities are still searching for the suspect.

Preliminary reports from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department indicate that deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of East Imperial Highway around 1 a.m. Saturday.

Upon arriving, they located a man who had sustained gunshot wounds to the upper torso.  He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, LASD stated.

He was only identified by authorities as a Hispanic man.
