One Page at a Time
Former NBC Pages gathered on Saturday, September 14, 2024, for the NBC Page Reunion Gala held at the famed Smokehouse Restaurant in Burbank, CA.
Those in attendance included NBC-related celebrities such as Dean Butler, star of Little House on the Prairie (NBC, 1974–1983), and Larry Wilcox, star of CHiPs (NBC, 1977–1983). Wilcox attended with his wife, Marlene Wilcox, the legendary Olympic track athlete who set a national record in the pentathlon and won multiple titles and medals.
Celebrated voiceover artist Roger Hyman opened the event with a comedic overview of NBC Page history. Revered actress/writer Kris Kahl made a special appearance and recited a poem she had written 40 years ago, but finally revealed.
Don Sweeney, the iconic musical director of The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson made a special guest appearance. Sweeney, too, provided a never-before-seen video, this one a behind-the-scenes recap of Carson’s last episode of his iconic late-night chat fest. Pianist Alan Corcoran played renditions of various NBC TV themes throughout the evening.
