USC secondary off to strong start but still evolving

USC’s secondary was a highlighted bright spot for the Trojans all offseason. The Trojans merged assembled and new talent from both the high school recruiting ranks and the transfer portal. Lincoln Riley brought in D’Anton Lynn and Doug Belk to coach up the back end with Belk merging what had previously been a room split three ways (corners, safeties and nickels). The result of the offseason commitment to cross-training and schooling the defensive backs on all positions was a menu with no shortage of options.
