Homicide detectives have launched an investigation into a deadly overnight shooting in South Gate.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to the 9000 block of San Luis Avenue at 2:03 a.m. Saturday on calls of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found the victim, only described as a man, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Deputies rendered aid before he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
Details remain scarce, including a description of a suspect or a possible motive.
