Car Shooting Leaves 1 Injured in Los Angeles

FLORENCE, LOS ANGELES, Sept. 28 (KNN) — A shooting occurred in the Florence area of Los Angeles, leaving one injured inside a vehicle early Saturday morning.

Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division units responded to reports of a shooting victim at 12:50 a.m. in the 7700 block of South Main Street.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located a male in a black Nissan sedan with a gunshot wound to his back.

Two Black men in a Tesla allegedly opened fire on the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene.

Officer Drake Madison, a spokesperson for the LAPD, told Key News Network that a verbal altercation preceded the shooting.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital. According to Madison, the 35-year-old victim is in stable condition.

It is unknown if the incident is gang-related.
