LOS ANGELES – Authorities sought the public’s help Tuesday to find the hit-and-run motorist responsible for fatally injuring a pedestrian in the south Los Angeles area. Paramedics sent to Imperial Highway west of Parmelee Avenue at about 8:50 p.m. Monday pronounced 62-year-old Denise Barkus of Los Angeles dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
