LANCASTER, Calif., Nov. 17 (KNN) — A homicide investigation is underway after firefighters discovered three unresponsive individuals inside a burning house in Lancaster early Saturday morning.
Los Angeles County firefighters responded to the 44500 block of Tabler Avenue for a reported residential fire around 8 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters located a home that was partially involved in flames.
Further investigation revealed that at least three people were still inside the location. Firefighters quickly removed the three unresponsive patients from the home to later discover they were suffering from gunshot wounds.
Additionally, the investigation revealed that another person was in the home in critical condition. The critical patient was transported to a local hospital.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide investigators are currently on scene investigating what is now deemed to be a triple homicide.
A deceased animal, possibly a pet, was also removed from the home.
The suspect involved in this deadly shooting is still at large. No further details were readily available as this is an ongoing investigation.
