Police in Culver City located a trailer stolen from a Los Angeles County non-profit and delivered a surprise to the organization just in time for the holidays.
Police spent weeks investigating after learning on Nov. 22 that a Walk ‘n Rollers trailer with all its equipment had been stolen.
“Thanks to the diligent work of detectives, there was a break in the case. An arrest was made, and the trailer was recovered,” the Culver City Police Department posted on its Instagram page .
Police realized that many of the organization’s scooters, bikes and other equipment were not recovered and went to work in hopes of replacing them before Christmas and Hanukkah.
“Just before the holidays, officers delivered the bikes, scooters, helmets, and equipment to Walk ‘n Rollers leader Jim Shanman,” the post read.
Police thanked the efforts of its officers and investigators, the donors for the Culver City Police Foundation and Target.
“This is just fantastic,” Shanman replied as police carried the items to him.
