New Year’s forecast: Santa Ana winds bring fire weather concerns back to Southern California

LOS ANGELES – Southern California will be ringing in the new year with warmer temperatures and significant fire weather conditions, according to the National Weather Service. “Elevated fire weather becoming widespread Monday, then critical fire weather conditions likely Tuesday through Thursday for Santa Ana prone areas of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties,” the NWS said.
