Eva Longoria donates $50K as LA fire rages on
Eva Longoria shared a video update on Instagram about donating to the LA fire relief efforts. The 49-year-old penned in the post’s caption, “My heart breaks for the city of LA and the devastating fires that have affected so many lives.” Longoria donated $50K to the This Is About Humanity organization to support those impacted by these wildfires, PEOPLE reported. The actor added in the Instagram post, “I hope we can come together and support these resilient members of our community.”
Longoria revealed in the video that she and her family decided to evacuate their home as they were “under a warning.” The film producer also shared many of her friends who evacuated from other areas are taking shelter at her house. However, she acknowledged that she knows “a lot of people weren’t so lucky.” Longoria further got candid about her efforts amid the horror of the wildfires. She said, “We’ve donated clothes, I literally emptied out my pantry to take down to all of the places that are accepting donations.”
Later, the star also detailed her donation and said, “I am gonna be supporting This Is About Humanity.” Longoria continued, “They are matching up to $50,000 for frontline essential workers and families that are impacted by the fires. I’m gonna be matching that $50,000 personally.” She added, “I’m gonna be giving another 50,000 on top of that to support, you know, all of these families who are working tirelessly to keep us sustained with food.”…
