Sunland Man Arrested For Street Racing With Child Passenger

A Sunland man was arrested for child endangerment after he was allegedly street racing over 100 mph on the 14 Freeway Sunday morning with a child passenger.

Around 11:40 a.m. Sunday, officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Newhall Area Office spotted two vehicles, a black Mercedes G Wagon and a black Charger traveling around 120 mph on the southbound 14 Freeway near Ward Road, said Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez, spokesperson for the CHP Newhall Area Office .

“Both vehicles were running in and out of lanes,” Burgos-Lopez said.
