Most people call her “Ms. Kiki.” Some call her the lunch lady. For Kidara Lynn Torrent, the cafeteria director at Theodore Roosevelt Senior High School, her job is more than serving food.
Torrent actively caters to the needs of her students. She makes sure she chooses the right dietary options for them and that every hungry student is fed. She also adds her own recipes to the lunch menu and has become famous for her chocolate chip cookies, which often run out because students take more than one.
