Police in Los Angeles are investigating an overnight crash that killed a young boy after the driver allegedly fled the scene leaving the child to die, according to police.
Officers with the Los Angles Police Department responded to the crash at the intersection Crenshaw Boulevard and Rodeo Place around 11 p.m. Officers arrived to find a Infiniti FX35 crashed into the side of a building.
Investigators believe the car was speeding before it lost control and slammed into the corner of the building, according to police. “The driver of the vehicle failed to remain at the scene and render aid to a 4-year-old passenger in the vehicle,” police said in the news release, which also updated the child’s age.
Three people were reportedly in the car at the time of the crash, one being a 4-year-old boy and his mother, according to police. The child was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead…
