SACRAMENTO, CA — State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond has announced that 336 elementary schools across California have been recognized as 2025 California Distinguished Schools. The honor celebrates schools excelling in two categories: Closing the Achievement Gap and Exceptional Student Performance.
