3 shot, including 2 teens, after gunman opens fire in L.A. neighborhood

Police are investigating after gunfire erupted on the streets of Boyle Heights injuring three people, including two teenagers Monday afternoon, officials confirmed to KTLA.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the 400 block of North Soto Street at Folsom Street just before 4 p.m. on reports of the multi-casualty shooting.

Medical personnel with the L.A. Fire Department also responded to the scene and took the victims, described only as a 15-year-old, 16-year-old and 18-year-old, to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Details are limited and it’s unclear exactly how the shooting unfolded, though aerial footage of the scene captured by Sky5 showed a heavy police presence in the area, with North Soto shut down in both directions and yellow tape cordoning the area off.
