Over 100 Blue Shield of California and Kaiser Foundation Hospital employees across multiple California counties are being laid off.
Recent WARN notices , or the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, which requires employers to give advance notice before mass layoffs, show that Blue Shield of California is laying off 113 employees in Alameda, El Dorado, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Joaquin, and Shasta countie s. Kaiser Foundation Hospitals is laying off 38 employees in Alameda, Los Angeles, and Solano counties.
The WARN notices were processed on April 22 and April 23.
