LA County Offers $20K Reward in Compton Killings of Mother, Daughter

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors established a $20,000 reward Tuesday for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the killings of a 45-year-old woman and her 22-year-old daughter in a drive-by shooting in Compton.

La’von Hall and her daughter Ma’Laysia Martin were shot around 7 p.m. April 1 at Caldwell Street and Central Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Responding deputies found the mother in the street west of the intersection and her daughter in the passenger seat of a vehicle east of the intersection, both suffering from gunshot wounds, sheriff’s officials said. Both were pronounced dead at the scene…
